So last night I got to have dinner with my older sister Karen!

Getting to spend quality time like that means a lot to me as her and I always grew up in different countries with the special visit from her to Canada now and then.

The times she did come to visit I always remembered her little tips of advice that you sometimes hear me say, like "don't ever wear silver with gold, you pick one" this comes from the time I was around 10 and she was visiting us in our old house and I was watching her get ready for a big night out. Is he handed me her jewlery box and told me to pick out a pair of earrings and a necklace and of course I chose gold and silver and that's when I learnt never to mix the two. Haha I brought this up at dinner last night and she goes "but now you can!" In her cute South African accent. I said "Karen, there is no way after all these years am I about to change the way I live my life!!"

We spent time with my niece Greer, now if you know me pretty well you know that I am beyond obsessed of hello kitty, like a small Asian child would be.
Well that's Karen's fault, every time she visited or would send presents it would be hello kitty so I became OBESSED!! So here I am walking I to Greer's room with hello kitty everywhere, like this is not even fair! Haha we have her a bath and guess what she had a hello kitty TOWEL!!!! I'm dying at this point haha.

Dinner was lovely she made fresh fajitas and we sat with her husband and chatted away for hours. I love my sister and her family and I am so grateful for spending that time with them!

I need these candles in my life.

Earlier in the day we decided to head down to Kalk Bay for lunch and then Derek took little Megan and her friend to the beach, look at these hooligans.

 

 

 

I did a little shopping and came across a sweet little alley with a vintage store attached
